Bethesda and Arkane brought a new Deathloop trailer to Sony’s PS5 Showcase, giving us a fresh look at gameplay, and detailing two of the game’s targets. Deathloop is an assassination shooter about being stuck in a time loop. In order to break it, protagonist Colt must take out eight targets - called Visionaries - but he’s being hunted himself by a rival assassin. The latest trailer shows off two of those Visionaries: Aleksis and Egor. Because all eight must die for the loop to break, there’s going to be a lot of learning and planning to hopefully set it all up so that all eight die in a single day. The trailer actually digs a little bit deep into what goes into these plans, for Aleksis and Egor, at least. It’s very reminiscent of Dishonored’s multi-kill challenges, only in Deathloop, efficiency is the name of the game. Deathloop is coming to PC and PS5 between March and June 2021.
